Anti Climb Security Paint (also known as anti-vandal or anti intruder paint) is a type of paint which is highly thixotropic – meaning that it undergoes a time-dependent change in viscosity; the longer the paint undergoes shear stress, the lower is its viscosity – and is often used to prevent climbing of objects such as lampposts, walls or fences. It owes its effectiveness to the fact that it is based on a non-drying oil and keeps the surface greasy and slippery. As an additional advantage, it leaves its mark on the person touching it and hence makes it possible for intruders to be identified.
To avoid the general public being affected by the
paint, it is usually applied more than 2 metres above the normal access height and anti climb paint warning signs should be clearly displayed, the general consensus is that they should be no more than 2-3 metres apart.

Omnicote adheres to metal, plastic and glass. It provides a very tough finish with minimal brush marks. It is very easy to apply and provides a very tough finish in just one coat. Omnicote also contains a built in rust converter to neutralize rust. Rust is converted to a polymer that is absorbed into the Omnicote. Rust is encapsulated into the Omnicote and becomes a stable part of the tough coating. Omnicote provides ongoing protection against further rusting. This product is an environmentally friendly, water-based, quick drying, low odour with a high performance coating.
